2) The price is right.
While this may retail at your local furniture store or Target for upwards of $40, you can get this compact khaki closet for more than HALF this cost. How? Look no further than to your left and you’ll see what it’s going currently for at Amazon!

3) It’s the perfect size for a trade off between needing extra storage but not taking up enormous amounts of space.

This khaki wardrobe will fit snugly into any extra room or dorm room – not to mention you could put it right up into a corner if you wanted to and have a perfect little portable corner wardrobe at your disposal.(Although if you do this you’ll miss out on one half of the shoe storage capacity. Keep reading!)

4)We love the addition of the shoe organizer on the side.

Shoes take up a lot of space and if they’re not properly organized, they can simply make a mess. Both men and women these days – especially college students – have many pairs of shoes. This built in shoe organizer is a great perk for any one who doesn’t have a place for all their shoes.

This portable wardrobe from Honey Can Do offers ample closet storage for your wardrobe. But it comes at a price: don’t expect to hang a ton of stuff inside and don’t expect this unit to be of super high quality.

I know – we typically don’t say too much bad stuff here but when it’s truth, we have no problem spilling the beans, and far too many people had a less than stellar experience with this portable closet. We noticed the fabric seems a bit flimsy and tears easily if you accidentally push at it or hit it with something. The unit as a whole seems somewhat unstable for our tastes is what it all amounts too.

On the other hand – it costs $50. That is not a lot of money. And for $50 you get a portable storage closet that can basically function as a second closet so long as you don’t go crazy and start hanging up a bunch of heavy winter coats.

In the end, the honest truth is you can find better closet storage products for your money.

You know, we review a ton of portable closets and armoires on this site. Most of the ones that call themselves as a “portable closet” are – let’s be honest – sometimes they are a bit flimsy.

But this is not the case with this closet shelving rack from InterMetro.

And damn right, for the price, you’d better be getting some solid closet storage, right?

And that’s what you get here. This is a really strong stand alone closet. You know that the manufactuter is feelin’ confident in their product when they have the guts to write that it’s got an unbreakable closet rod made from chrome. That’s the kind of closet storage we can get behind here!!

Seriously though. This is your jam if you need a solid closet storage solution that is freestanding, stand alone, etc and will NOT break down on, will NOT disappoint you, and will NOT break on you. This 3 shelf garment rack from InterMetro stands strong and sturdy.

What’s really cool about this “garment rack” (a strange description – it’s basically a free standing closet, is it not?) is that you can shed some extra bucks and get a cover for it and instantly transform it into a beautiful armoire. Here we have a very nice looking portable armoire from the trusted folks at Organize It All. This unit is light weight yet able to hold a very liberal amount of wardrobe storage without bending or flexing.

A huge perk with this portable armoire is the easy set up. User reviews consistently note how quickly they were able to get this closet up and running straight out of the box with no problem. Nice! We can definitely get behind that!

Aesthetically this is one of the more impressive looking portable closets on the market. You can see the from photo to the left that the unit has a classy look on it that you’ll be hard pressed to find with many canvas based mobile closets. The window screen is a nice touch and allows you to easily see where your wardrobe items are, and of course the zippered enclosure is appreciated to make a nice solid seal when keeping things in storage for the long term.
